3.5L V8 W109 1971. The chassis number is 109.056 22-005422 and it’s plated as 6/71. It came with the house we have bought in Albury. The car was last registered in 2005 in Bendigo and the second owner who I got it from has supplied the original owner’s manual, brochure booklet, etc that shows its service history for most of its life. Bought new in Tasmania and serviced by the book every 6,000 miles until about 115,000 but then the book stops and the receipts start. It’s currently showing 189,000 miles on the odometer. The interior is all there including the choice velour seats etc but the dash is cracked in some places. The good points - virtually all the other electrics appear to work (including the sunroof) and the tyres are quite new looking. The motor started with little coaxing (after I put some oil in the cylinders and turned it over without the spark plugs in it to get the oil pressure up) and it purred sweetly with no exhaust leaks. I think it’s all there (the last hubcap front drivers side is in the boot, but it’s missing a locating clip) including the jack etc. We washed it to get the dirt off so we could see out the windows but that’s it. I want to sell it as it is and let the new owner enjoy the restoration experience. I’ve been looking at the prices on Car Point etc and I figure that if I got $15,000 for it I’d be happy and the new owner would be able to make some money on it in the future if they so wished.
